Garlic Scapes
Fresh garlic scapes are only available for a few weeks starting in early/mid June. We ship a USPS priority mail medium flat rate box full of scapes (avg 4+/- lbs/box). If you are lucky enough to live within 600 miles or so of us, you will get a regional rate box B (avg 4+ lbs/box). Great for stir-fries, grilling, pesto, pickling, etc. Refrigerate on arrival. They should store several weeks in the fridge or can also be frozen whole or chopped. Or make and freeze as pesto.

Music (Porcelain)
Hardy, tall plants that produce large scapes. Each bulb usually has 3 - 6 large cloves. Averages 4 - 8 bulbs/pound. Bulbs have almost pure white wrappers with a hint of pink/purple. Flavor is hot when raw, but medium when cooked. Great for the immune system, with it's high allicin content.

Polish Jenn (Porcelain)
Hardy, tall plants, similar to Music. Each bulb usually has 3 - 6 large cloves. Averages 4 - 8 bulbs/pound. Bulbs have almost pure white wrappers. Flavor is similar to Music, but a bit hotter.

Hardy, tall plants, similar to Music. Each bulb usually has 3 - 6 large cloves. Averages 4 - 8 bulbs/pound. Bulbs have almost pure white wrappers. Flavor is hot when raw, but medium when cooked. Great for the immune system, thought to have the highest allicin content of all garlics. May have been one of the first porcelains brought to North America.

Purple Stripe (Hardneck) Garlic For Sale | Chesnok Red (Purple Stripe)
Also known as shvelisi, shevlisi or schvelisi, it originates from the Republic of Georgia and was brought to the USA in the mid 1980's. One of the more visually beautiful garlics, with its purple striping on the bulb wrappers and redish cloves. It also has an excellent flavor. One of the tastiest garlics for roasting.

Originates from eastern Siberia and found its way via Alaska where it was traded by fisherman for vegetables. One of the more visually beautiful garlics, with its purple stripes and marbling on the bulb wrappers, it also has an excellent flavor. Should do very well in both cold and hot climates.

Plants are shorter than the Porcelains, with smaller multi-curl scapes. Each bulb usually has 6 - 9 cloves. Averages 4 - 8 bulbs/pound. Bulbs have purple coloring on the wrappers. Flavor is hot and spicy when raw, but rich and milder when cooked.
